About the Nurse Nutritionist Certification Board


The elected officers of the NNCB Board are:

  • President - the Chief Executive Officer of the Board
  • President Elect - the chair of the Ethics Committee
  • Vice President - the chair of the Grievance Committee
  • The non-voting, ex officio members of the NNCB Board are:

  • Executive Director
  • Treasurer
  • Webmaster
  • The President Elect and Vice President are elected during the month of December each year, and take office January 1st of the following year. Once elected, the President Elect automatically ascends to the office of the Presidency when that office becomes vacant each year. The term of office for all elected officers is one year. Vice Presidents may succeed themselves as often as elected. A President remains in office for more than one year only if the succeeding President Elect is unable to serve. Presidents Elect are limited to one term at a time, but may be elected to a subsequent term after succeeding to and retiring from the office of President.

    The ex officio members of the board serve at the pleasure of the elected officers.

    The standing committees of the NNCB are:

  • Ethics Committee - settles disputes regarding professional conduct of members (chaired by the President Elect)
  • Grievance Committee - settles disputes between members and the Board (chaired by the Vice President)
  • The Board shall constitute such other committees as it may deem necessary, to provide whatever services the Board requires.
